Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jr

$350.00

Over nine weeks, students will work together to rehearse, design, and produce a full production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jr. Meeting Tuesday through Thursday from 3:45–5:45pm at Barnard Nature Center (200 Derby Ave, New Haven). Drop-off begins at 3:30pm, and pick-up ends at 6:00pm. We will take off the week of Thanksgiving.

Students will build skills in acting, singing, dancing, technical theatre, and collaboration as they bring this beloved musical to life.

Every student who auditions will be cast, so registration guarantees a place in the production! No audition preparation is required. Auditions will take place as part of the program after we begin.

Students who prefer to work behind the scenes are welcome, too! Participants can join our technical theatre team, working on areas such as props, costumes, scenic design and fabrication, and lighting.

The program begins October 6th. Students do not need to prepare anything in advance. Just come ready to create, collaborate, and put on a show!

Registration is $350 per kid (this includes participation in the program, costume, and a show T-shirt). See the education page for our financial aid application if you need assistance.
