Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (K-12th)

$350 per kid

Weekly High School Performance Workshop
(9th-12th)

$200 for nine weeks of class

Over nine weeks, high schoolers can participate in a focused Musical Theatre Workshop that strengthens acting, vocal performance, and dance technique through scene work, ensemble collaboration, and expressive storytelling.

Students refine character choices, build confident vocal and movement skills, and receive guided practice in audition preparation, including selecting material, interpreting songs and monologues, and presenting themselves professionally.

The High School Musical Theatre Workshop meets each Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm at Barnard Nature Center (200 Derby Ave, New Haven).

High school students are welcome to register for both Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jr and the High School Performance Workshop, or just one.

Financial Aid Application

Over nine weeks, students will work together to rehearse, design, and produce a full production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jr. Meeting Tuesday through Thursday from 3:45–5:45pm at Barnard Nature Center (200 Derby Ave, New Haven), students will build skills in acting, singing, dancing, technical theatre, and collaboration as they bring this beloved musical to life.

Every student who auditions will be cast, so registration guarantees a place in the production! No audition preparation is required. Auditions will take place as part of the program after we begin.

Students who prefer to work behind the scenes are welcome, too! Participants can join our technical theatre team, working on areas such as props, costumes, scenic design and fabrication, and lighting.

The program begins October 6th. Students do not need to prepare anything in advance. Just come ready to create, collaborate, and put on a show!

Drop-off begins at 3:30pm, and pick-up ends at 6:00pm. We will take off the week of Thanksgiving.
